The purpose of exploration is to discover new mineral deposits which are suitable for economic production.
In mineral exploration, many techniques are used such as geology and geophysics.
Geology is one of the most important techniques because the success of any exploration depends on the selection of the exploration area.
Geophysics is defined as “the study of the physics of the earth”, and its success requires experienced engineers.
In a proper exploration work,there are hundreds of drillings and thousands of samples.

Aramanın amacı ekonomik üretim için uygun olan yeni maden yatakları bulmaktır.
Maden aramalarında jeoloji ve jeofizik gibi birçok teknik kullanılır.Jeoloji en önemli tekniklerden biridir.Çünkü herhangi bit aramanın başarısı arama alanının seçimine bağlıdır.
Jeofizik “yerkabuğunu fiziğin incelemesi” olarak tanımlanır. Ve onun başarısı deneyimli mühendisler deneyimli mühendisleri gerektirir.
Normal bir arama çalışmasında yüzlerce sondaj ve binlerce örnek vardır.
